Smoking Pens

Ashen ink – hanging cherry blossom – seasonal depression, scheduled change – channeled rage – destructive, phase right through – phantom, translucent – super natural – truths inside of lies – honesty is smoke rising to the top of a room of course it comes with a smell – doesn’t last – there’s an expiration date – time when what was good is stale – same as the nails keeping the windows shut – tools of the trade – governed by tariffs and a rate of exchange none too kind – economical limit – keeping profit in mind, the process is worth the pain – sure it may look and sound deranged but that’s just masochism – capitalism at the end of the day – tactically sound in practice an ashtray, whatever works to catch flakes and hold corpses – graveyard for the half-baked – ideas one day too late and plans doomed from the start – shattered tombstones, eroded epitaphs – blessed be decomposition – enriching the soil and providing footholds for nature is a noble fate entrusted to trash littered carelessly around a potter’s field where space dissipates as fast as it’s made available.
