That neglected corner of the room is where the answer might be, but it’s dirty – cobwebs and containers that need cleaned – imposing layers – too much for popcorn eaters with buttery fingers – never washed, their fat, greasy links are only good for feeding and taste receded long ago – burnt tongues, too, their mouths never not fool – splatters of stupid spit when they cough are not contagious – they simply don’t share – are given definition through avarice – it’s clear where things end.
